We are the Wolverhampton Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A circular undulating walk on the Long Mynd from Church Stretton, one steep ascent and one steep descent. Enjoy fabulous views and the option of visiting the Little Stretton "Teas2Please" Church Fete on the way back to Church Stretton - an opportunity to eat cake and drink tea or beer at this popular annual event.
There will be a short drinks stop and a slightly longer lunch stop so bring a drink and a packed lunch.
This is a joint walks with Stourbridge Ramblers Ramblers.
Please note that there is no access through Much Wenlock due to a road closure. Please plan your route accordingly as the walk will need to start promptly at 10am.
Do make sure you're fit enough and have the right footwear and clothing for the walk taking into account the terrain and the weather conditions, which may change during the day. You can contact the group or walk leader if in doubt. Non-members of the Ramblers Association are welcome to join us on a couple of walks before deciding whether to join the group.
Easthope Road pay and display car park, Lion Meadow, Church Stretton, SY6 6BZ. The car park is free on Sunday and bank holidays.
