having recced the walk again after last night’s heavy rain and with more rain forecast from Thursday to Saturday, Richard agrees with me that the planned waterfall walk from Longden would be neither pleasant nor safe, particularly along the steep and very muddy paths around the waterfall.
I therefore propose to shelve that walk until later in the year when hopefully the grass in the fields will be shorter and all paths less muddy.
We explored the Shrewsbury Severn Loop walk a few days ago and found it delightful- as described below. There is also the added incentive of exploring the somewhat controversial temporary modern art installation in the Quarry Park, which is looking its best at this time of year.
