Overview

From The Bog visitor centre we make a short climb to Nipstone Rock, an extension of the rocky Stiperstones Ridge at over 1300 feet. We then descend into the valley and take a quiet lane to Ridge and Beach Farm. A second climb is made onto Lindley Hill along a line of ancient beeches. We descend near interestingly names Frog’s Gutter to go back up towards Nipstone before returning to the car park. Moderate 7.5 miles, some tall undergrowth in places but usually good underfoot. Good views if the weather is clear; a degree of exposure on higher ground in poor weather.
