Overview

This walk starts in the shadow of Carisbrooke Castle and winds alongside Lukely Brook. We will then ascend to the lovely Dukem Down for a picnic lunch with plenty of time to soak in the stunning views. Homeward bound, we will descend to Little Gatcombe and walk along the historic Shepherds Trail.

New walkers welcome. If you are new to the Ramblers you can just turn up for any of our walks, unless we specify otherwise.  We invite you to come along for three walks as a non-member.

Carisbrooke Priory car park. **Please note the following** On Friday WightFibre were working on Castle Hill and there was no access approaching from Cedar Hill. Who knows where they will be next Tuesday, so best to leave a little extra time and be prepared for a detour.
