Overview

A 6.6 mile, circular walk across woods and fields to Park Corner, turning south through Magpies Wood to reach Nettlebed. We then pick up the Chiltern Way from Crocker End to Bix Bottom, passing the derelict St James's Chuch, before turning north through Freedom Wood to return to Maidensgrove Common. Expect a mildly unduĺating route, beginning with a sharp descent - accompanied a superb view! Paths are style-free and should be generally sound, weather permitting, with a few stony sections and muddy patches in woods. Please bring refreshments for one stop, in Nettlebed.
