Overview

Wendy Birt will lead Thursday's
8 mile walk, 
starting at 10.00 from:

Altar Stones Lane,
 (continuation of Ashby Road).
Markfield,
Leicestershire,
LE67 9PX.

  Park on the road just past the green railings by Jubilee Playing fields. 

The walk takes us up to the trig point overlooking Hill Hole Quarry then down through the village by the church.

From there we pick up the Leicestershire Round for a short while, leaving it to go through woods where we will have our coffee stop.

We then continue over to Stanton under Bardon where our pub stop will be at The Old Thatched Inn.

The route carries on to Billa Barra Hill (choice of whether to climb up to see the views) or stay and view the Noon Column.

Onwards then back to Markfield
