Overview

Our walk starts outside the Royal Hotel, 90-91 The Esplanade, Weymouth. From there we soon join the path of a disused railway which we follow southwards towards Portland. We pass through Castletown and Fortuneswell, following the South West Coast Path until we reach the lighthouse at Portland Bill. From here we take the path northwards to Southwell, from were we catch the bus back to Weymouth. There are numerous opportunities throughout the walk to catch the bus back earlier, thereby shortening the walk.
