This is a linear walk from Marks Tey station, through fields and forests to the pretty village of Bures. We will pass through Great Tey and White Colne on the way, as well as Chalkney Wood - an ancient woodland now designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) - and will finish at Bures Station. There will be an optional pub stop in Bures to which all are invited.
Please check the weather forecast beforehand and dress accordingly. Jeans are NOT advisable for walking. As paths may be muddy and uneven good walking shoes or boots are recommended, as is something to sit on such as a plastic carrier bag or sit mat. Please bring a picnic lunch as we will be not be stopping to purchase food.
