Meet at 9.45am for 10am start on the road outside Huntley Village Hall, North Rd, Huntley, Gloucester GL19 3DU. What 3 words - https://w3w.co/villager.rival.healers
Our route crosses fields and woods climbing gently towards the summit of May Hill where we will stop for lunch and to enjoy the views. The return to Huntley is a relatively steep descent and walking poles could be useful at times here. After the rain we’ve had in recent days, the route will be muddy / very muddy in places so walking boots are recommended.
There is the option of a drink at The Red Lion in Huntley at the end of the walk.
If anyone coming from Gloucester wants a lift, John can offer a lift from the south side of Estcourt Road, parking on the slip road by the playing fields. The nearest postcode is GL1 3LH, also see https://w3w.co/trails.hotels.rich Please use Meetup, see https://www.meetup.com/gloucestershire-walking-group/events/ to request a lift from Gloucester or to offer or request a lift from Cheltenham or Stroud.
This walk is arranged by ramblers and free to join. After 2 or 3 walks we request you become a member of the ramblers.
Do ensure you wear appropriate clothing for the weather. Walking boots are recommended. Bring poles if you think you'll need them.
