Overview

From the centre of Marsden, we ascend steeply up to Marsden moor via Butterfly reservoir and follow part of the Marsden heritage trail. We then pass Wessenden reservoir and ascend to Meltham Moor (500m) which is an SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest). Continuing towards Meltham, we then follow an interesting path beside a catchwater with lots of interesting stone stiles over several bridges. Skirting round Deer Hill reservoir, we cross back over Marsden moor and through the town finishing with a well earned drink at the Riverhead Brewery Tap.

Please note - you must book a place on this walk with the walk leader.
