We are the Somer Valley Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Dolebury Warren and Black Down. A mix of woodland and moor, climbing to 300meters in
the middle part of the walk, but otherwise quite easy going. Potential panoramic views,
including the islands in the Bristol Channel and the Brecon Beacons in South Wales.
Please bring a drink and a light picnic lunch
Wear suitable footwear
Note: The Swan Inn should be open after the walk and serves tea etc
Car park opposite the Swan Inn, Rowberrow, Som (via A38, left turn 1 mile south of Churchill, the Swan Inn is 1/2 mile further on) Please note: there is a car park charge of £5 (this will cover the duration of the walk)
