Overview

Based on walk 20 of the 21 circular walks linked to the Coventry Way. Starting from the carpark of the Queens Head pub we follow fields and country lanes to the Meriden Shafts.  We walk through the woods where bluebells are likely and then head north east along the Coventry Way.  We pass by the Dome at the Heart of England Conference Centre and John Wesley's elm tree.  The last loop of the walk includes the medieval hamlet of Alspeth with its 1000 year old church. There are a few stiles, some in poor condition, one short stretch along a busy road and a small ascent but no steep climbs
