A walk near Micheldever.
In view of the current weather situation, we have planned a walk of around 4.5 miles and avoided getting too close to the Dever stream and adjacent fields.
We will therefore start off heading round the back of the village (west side) before going through the back of the Church (interesting mix of architecture!) and crossing onto Rook Lane. We continue heading west along a ridge the south of the Dever through Chapel Avenue heading towards East Stratton. After crossing the A33 we head south towards Micheldever Woods, before turning west through the underpass (M3). We then recross the A33 and head down the main avenue back to the pub.
The walk is level , but there are a few parts which are a little muddy (not surprisingly !) . Happy to report only half a stile to negotiate ... a mere step over.
Please use the link to book a place with the leader before next Tuesday morning , so that we can confirm numbers with the Landlord.
Please meet at 10:00 to order food, use the facilities and set off promptly.
The pub has recently been taken over by the owners of the Plough in Longparish, which many of you will know from previous walks.
~~ This walk is planned so it will be convenient to go onto the Group AGM afterwards ~~
