Overview

This will be a gentle introduction to Scrambing, taking in one of the lowest graded scrambles (1-) that North Wales has to offer.

We'll ascend the South East Ridge (Daear Ddu) and descend the North East Ridge.

Grade 1 scrambles are within the capability of most adventurous mountain walkers.

Beyond the usual requirements for waterproofs, water, food etc for a day in the welsh mountains, sturdy footwear with good grip on wet rock is a must, as are spare insulating layers.

We'll be taking the day at a pace that suits all attendees, and may spend periods of time stood around while individuals tackle sections of the route under the guidance of Lee.
