Pam invites you to a 6.3 mile circular walk around the lovely little market town of Clare ("Suffolk's smallest town") on the Suffolk/Essex border, taking in the River Stour and Clare Priory. There are no stiles on this walk but there are a few fairly long gradual slopes. As always, it could be a little muddy in places this time of year. Clare is one of only two "Walkers are Welcome" accredited towns in the East of England, the other one being Dereham in Norfolk.
After the walk, you are invited to join the walk leader for a pub lunch at The Swan in Clare. Would diners please arrive in good time to place their lunch pre-orders at the pub before the start of the walk.
