A moderate approx. 9.5km (5.9 miles) route starting at 10:00am and ending at approx 1:00pm. It goes through woods, by hedgerows, quiet country lanes and field margins. There are no stiles. It may be muddy in parts.
Radwinter has an attractive church with an unusual porch. Hempstead is the birthplace of Dick Turpin, the notorious 18th century highwayman and the burial place of the 17th century physician William Harvey.
After the walk, for those who would like to join the walk leader for lunch, we will dine at Bar and Grill, The Plough in Radwinter. Please look at their menu (see link below) and send pre-orders to the Walk Leader by Thursday 5th March or you can order on the day at 9:45.
