We are the Loughborough & District Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk starts near the Waterside Inn in Mountsorrel, we follow the Leicestershire Round route by the River Soar, walking alongside the riverbank viewing locks and weirs along the way. We walk through meadows and fields towards Cossington Meadows Nature Reserve where wildlife thrives. We return skirting Cossington and follow the path back to Mountsorrel.
There are a few styles and gates along the route.
There is an opportunity for a cafe stop on the walk and also pub/ cafe stop at the end of the walk.
