This circular walk starts from the village of Much Hadham which literally means "great heath homestead". Its attractive High Street has a high density of diverse Listed Buildings. We set off down the wooded valley of the River Ash before rising to an area known as the Perry Green Uplands.
We will pass through the grounds of the Henry Moore sculpture exhibition. The undulating landscape has meandering lanes linking hamlets and small villages of varying ages, medium-scale arable use with neat hedges and a few hedgerow trees.
At the end of the walk there will be the opportunity for a drink at the Bull Inn.
Meet on the corner of Church Lane and High Street, Much Hadham, SG10 6DB. Recommended parking along the wide part of the High Street near to Ye Old Red Lion (former pub) or considerately elsewhere nearby in the village.
There is no need to pre-book or contact the leader in advance.
