We start the walk passing one of the most celebrated churchyard yew trees in Britain, with boughs propped up and a hollow trunk where seats have been placed. The tree is reputedly around 1500 years old. The walk continues through fields, quiet country lanes and tracks, mainly on level ground with one gradual ascent up to Marcle Ridge and a tricky descent down a stoney track.
May be muddy in places.
