We are the South Shropshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting at the public car park adjacent to the Swan Inn at Aston Munslow. The route follows the Corvedale and visits several castles along the route. The book 'Corvedale and Castles' describes many of the castle we will pass. This is a superb Autumn walk crossing woodland and farmland as it changes to the end of season. Several historical sites are passed and the seldom visited Corvedale is well worth an exploration on foot. This walk combines history, scenery and exploration of a little visited valley with an opportunity to seek out some of those hidden Shropshire hamlets.
The walk is across farmland and woodland, expect wet patches and possible muddy sections at this time of year. Ascent is limited to 750', so is a very moderate walk. However there are a series of stiles at the end of the walk which come in quick succession. Parking is limited at the start so early arrival is recommended.
