Overview

A circular walk in the peaceful Gipping Valley.  A mixture of walking along the river & through farmland.  Good views of the valley. Lovely wildlife.   Easy walking but could be muddy in a few places if there has been a lot of rain.

We will meet near the cafe at Needham Lake.  Toilets and free parking (inc EV charging).  

Good pubs & fish & chips in Needham Market.  

Train station close to the Lake.

Suitable for small dogs but there are 2 stiles which it would be hard for a large dog to get over.

Needham Lake is accessed from the junction of the A14 with the A140. If travelling from Ipswich turn left & the entrance to the lake is clearly marked on the right hand side after a short distance.
