We are the Telford & East Shropshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Five mile ramble through beautiful woodlands to the top of Nesscliffe, with its stunning views towards the Breidden Hills and across Shropshire into Wales. The woods are full of interest, with the remains of an ancient fort and spectacular huge sandstone cliffs which give the village its name, in which is a hidden, now not so secret, highwayman's cave. The walk will finish with a special 2 or 3 course special Xmas meal lunch at the Old Three Pigeons, an old coaching inn just off the what was the old A5.
Early advance walk bookings are essential. Menus are available for you to choose which dishes you want to order from the walk leader. Dogs only with prior permission of the walk leader. Car shares will be available from the Forge Retail Park in Telford, please let the leader know if you want to arrange a car share. The walk will be at a leisurely pace but is graded moderate as it includes some uphill stretches on woodland and unmade paths which may be muddy.

For people wishing to car share, the meeting point is far side of car park opposite Furniture Village and Decathlon in Forge Retail Park, by green fire assembly point notice to the right of the steps. NB cars leave at 9.20 am, please make sure we know to expect you and arrive before departure time. Car shares are not guaranteed and depend on number of cars and drivers available.
Nesscliffe is signed from a roundabout on the new A5 Nesscliffe bypass. It is on the left hand side of the road just past the service station.
