THIS WALK IS ON A SATURDAY DUE TO TRAIN TIMETABLES.
NOTE EARLY DEPARTURE FROM SLEAFORD 07.50am.
A flat, linear coastal walk south from Chapel Point to Skegness, enjoying wide views across the North Sea throughout the walk. We'll follow the recently opened King Charles III Coast Path, with options to walk along the paved footpath or the beach/dunes (tides allowing). No mud expected - just sand if you choose to walk on the beach!
Requires an early start from Sleaford to start the walk at approx 10.30am from Chapel Point - see additional details below.
Catch the 7.50am train from Sleaford to Skegness, or use own transport (car share, park for the day near Skegness station). Meet at the Jolly Fisherman statue in front of Skegness railway station at 9am prompt. Recommend using senior or other railcard, or 'group saver' rail tickets for best value.
Also bring bus pass if you have one, as we'll then catch the Stagecoach Bus 59 at 9.10am from Skegness Station to start of walk at the North Sea Observatory, Chapel Point. After a short break there, we'll aim to start the walk by approx 10.30am.
Choice of train times back from Skegness after the walk.
