We are the Redditch Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
New Year’s Day walk - Alvechurch Rail Station circular to include Morris Dancing, approx 6 miles
The walk is approximately 6 miles - some fields, canal paths and quiet lanes. There are three stiles, all in good condition. Walking poles are recommended as there will be some mud. The walk will conclude at the Weighbridge where there will be Morris Dancers. The Weighbridge is open from 1pm to 5pm and will be selling baps and pork pies as well as their superb beer, seating is reserved for those customers purchasing food and drinks. There will be a short refreshment break of 20 minutes on the walk to eat our packed lunches. Members are also welcome to bring Christmas fayre to share.

Note: the car park size is reduced due to a large puddle. Other parking options include Station Road on the approach to the car park and/or on nearby roadsides. Car sharing is encouraged.
