Overview

A walk from Newent, south across farmland and up to the edge of Acorn Wood, the north to Kilcot enjoying far reaching views and rolling hills. We see remnants of Newent's coal mining industrial past before making our return  through Oxenhall and along the Hereford and Gloucester Canal.

A walk mainly on footpaths across farmland, with the possibility of mud. One steep narrow section up and down which will need caution and sticks if you have them, as well as a few challenging stiles. 521 feet/158 metres ascent/descent
