We are the Isle of Wight Ramblers. We arrange walks, monitor paths and help our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

This walk is part of the IOW Ramblers Festival Day. It is part of a day which, among other things has at least three walks, with people meeting up later.
Start time 10.30 am from Newport bus terminal stand A. We will travel five miles, first going along the Medina, then turning inland from the Folly restaurant and going to Jubilee park in York Road where there will be a picnic. Some lanes and pavement walking.
Please bring snack and drink for a short stop at the marina. There are toilets at the start. The tidal water after the marina can seep over the grass ahead. Please wear suitable footwear for muddy areas. Return buses go from Cowes (number 5) Adelaide Grove to Newport and (number 4) York Road to Ryde.

New walkers welcome. If you are new to the Ramblers you can just turn up for any of our walks, unless we specify otherwise. We invite you to come along for three walks as a non-member.

Depending on the weather, consider suitable, clothing, footwear, walking poles, sun cream, drinks, and food. Watch out for ticks and remove ASAP. If you are unsure about your ability to undertake this walk, please contact the walks leader. If you need to leave the walking group, please ensure you inform the leader or back marker.
Please note that there may be short sections of road walking, so please walk in a single file and take good care.
