Overview

The walk starts in the village of Newton-on -Rawcliffe village. From the village we go down into Newtondale.. The path can be slippery if wet, so poles are useful. We follow forest tracks up the dale to Raper's Farm and over to Raindale Head for lunch. A delightful woodland path takes us back by Raindale Beck, then back over pastureland returning to Newton.
