Overview

Circular walk from Nonington via, Goodnestone, Chillenden and Barfrestone. Passing the stately home of Goodnestone Park built in 1704, Kent's finest Norman church - St Nicholas at Barfrestone and then finally through Fredville Park, the parkland that used to belong to the mansion which was demolished after a fire in 1945. Meet by the small car park on Easole Street, next to the Bus Stop/Book Exchange, extra parking on Easole Street itself and nearby roads. There is no pub in Nonington, but for those that may wish to, there is The Griffins Head Pub at Chillenden, less than a 5 minute drive away and The Old Dairy Cafe at Goodnestone Park about 10 minutes away, nothing booked.
