This is intended as an accessible strenuous walk for moderate walkers who wish to progress to strenuous. It is a long walk, so the pace will be brisk though not too fast. The terrain is not particularly hilly. Regular strenuous walkers are also very welcome to come along.
We will walk from the beautiful Cathedral city of Canterbury to the coast at Dover. The route will follow exactly Sections 12 and 13 of the North Downs Way (barring any diversions/issues on the trail).
Once we leave Canterbury, the route will pass through rolling farmland before reaching the stunning White Cliffs at Dover.
Please bring a packed lunch. Toilet facilities en route may be limited, but we will look for a village pub for drinks and toilets at a suitable time if required. There will be plenty options for drink and/or food at the end before returning to London.
