We are the North Cotswold Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is the first of three linear walks starting with a short bus journey on a Saturday afternoon before the days get too short. See also 7th and 28th October.
Most of our walk back to Bourton is on the Monarch's and Diamond Ways passing through the villages of Farmington and Clapton-on-the-Hill (stops for our own refreshments). There are some short stretches of quiet road but most of the walk is on paths through lovely rolling countryside (some long grass).
We start with a short bus journey from Bourton to Northleach on the 801 service (£2 cash or card fare or free for Concessionary Pass holders). Meet at the bus stop opposite The Cotswold School at 11.15 for the 11.25 bus. Free roadside parking should be available on the road before the bus stop (Bourton Link/Meadow Way - w3w: informer.trick.finely) or a bit further away on the industrial estate. Allow time to find a spot and walk to the bus stop. Contact the leader for guidance if needed.
