Overview

This short circular walk is to St Michael’s church, Up Marden, where the minister will say a few words to celebrate the life of our long serving member, David Nixon, and to dedicate a bench in his name.  The walk is timed to arrive at the church for teas and cakes prior to the dedication scheduled for 4pm.

Park and meet in the recreation ground on the B2146, just south of the village. The overall walk, via Bevis's Thumb and Apple Down, is 3.9 miles, 2.2 to the church and 1.7 return.
