Overview

Today’s circular walk will take us from Overton towards Ashe, Deane, and Steventon. Starting at Overton station, we’ll make our way to the River Test, which we briefly follow towards Deane Park via Ashe, where we then walk along the Wayfarer’s Way. After some time, we’ll then head towards the Church of St Nicolas, which is located opposite the house where Jane Austen was brought up. After a brief diversion to here, we’ll head towards Berrydown Copse before walking along the River Test again to head back to our finishing point at Overton station. For those who want a pint at the end of the walk, we’ll be stopping at the White Hart of Overton, which is roughly a 10-minute walk from the station.
