Overview

2026 marks the 250th anniversary of America’s independence, so to mark this, we’ll be doing a circular walk around Greenham Common. Starting at Newbury station, we’ll head towards Stroud Green via Burger King before heading Greenham Common via St Mary's church, Greenham. Here, we’ll head into Greenham Common to do a loop of both Greenham and Crookham Commons, where we plan to have lunch at the control tower. After completing this loop, we’ll head along Greenham Road to head back towards Newbury station and finish the walk. For those who want a pint at the end of the walk, we’ll be stopping off at The Dolphin, which is a short walk from the station.
