Overview

A delightful walk through the Forest of Dean taking in Parkend and the Cannop Ponds. We start near the Coleford Ironworks taking the old railway path to Parkend which is the end of the Dean Forest steam railway where we have a break at the station. Afterwards we head north again on the old railway path to the Cannop Ponds where we will have lunch. We continue through the Barnhill Plantation and onto the town of Coleford. We then again take the railway path back to the car park.
