We are the Stockport Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Start: Brabyns Park CP, Marple.
Our 3 mile walk starts by going up onto the canal and along to the Aqueduct. We then descend from the canal and pass under the Aqueduct, crossing some fields and making our way to the river Etherow thence to Etherow Park, where we will stop for our drinks (bring a flask or drink if you do not want to buy from the cafe) and share some parkin and treacle toffee which is provided by the leader as a nod to the forthcoming Guy Fawkes Night.
We return to Brabyns car park via another river stroll, this time along the river Goyt.
This leisurely 3 mile walk will start at Brabyns Park Car Park in Marple Bridge at 11am.
