Overview

An 8 mile walk to see the Bleaklow Bomber.

Start Point:  Turning circle at the junction of Shepley Street & Hope street Glossop, sk13 7rz (note postcode is about 100ft below start)
We will have a steady climb up Doctors Gate to Pennine Way then carry on up to bomber site   Return downhill via Shelf Moor

Please note most of the ascent is up to the bomber site where we will aim to have lunch.  There is potential for boggy stretches and some narrow, tricky, slippy sections…… walking poles advised.  Phone signal poor/non existent for most of route
Later start allows for people to come by train…… please let the walk leader know if you plan to travel by train, to ensure the walk does not start before you arrive if the train is delayed.
