We are the East Staffordshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in the East Staffordshire area to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From the free car park in the attractive Peak District village of Parwich we follow the Limestone Way, crossing beautiful Bletch Brook valley to the picture book village of Tissington. We continue on the Limestone Way for a further mile and a half before turning in the lee of Hamston Hill through Lin Dale and down into spectacular Dovedale near the stepping stones (currently closed). We proceed north west, following the River Dove past Ilam Rock and Dove Holes before leaving Dovedale on a steep path up Nabs Dale, walking past Hanson Grange, then crossing the A515 and the Tissington Trail before descending into Alsop en le Dale from where we climb up the hillside, observing magnificent views, proceeding through field and forest and returning to Parwich past the village school. ,
A great walk with lots of ups and downs, taking in some of the most attractive countryside in the White Peak.
