Circular Walk around Pencaitland

Meeting at Currie library EH14 5NX 9.00am to leave 9.15am
Start the walk at Pencaitland EH34 5DQ at 10am
Approximate finish time 3pm

Walk Description:
Walk is moderate - 8 miles. Ascent 100m
Circular around Pencaitland, mostly on disused railway paths, through wooded areas, some pavement walking. If weather is wet there shall be some muddy paths.
Maximum number 24.
Directions for travel:
Take the bypass A720 signed Berwick. After Sheriffhall, take A68 to Jedburgh then turn left onto A6093 Haddington.
Exactly on the PENCAITLAND Sign is the Maltings. We turn directly right as if entering the Maltings gate BUT we are going up a dirt track Between the Maltings entrance and Terraced Houses. It is a bit rough at the beginning but there is a proper car park at the top. This is where the walk starts.
