Overview

This ramble starts from Pepperbox Hill car park. We descend towards East Grimstead and follow the valley to West Dean passing the privately owned Motte (with no bailey) castle and the pretty church of St Mary. There is a steep ascent up Dean Hill where we return to the car park along the ridge. Waking is mostly on good paths and tracks but there are sections across fields and through woodland that may be wet and muddy. Two stiles.

Everyone is welcome. If you would like to join this walk, please notify the walk leader (Helen W 07980 925790) or email swrsundaywalks@gmail.com

If you would like to car share please let the walk leader know when you book and we will hopefully be able to facilitate this.

There will be two stops during the day for coffee and lunch (please bring a picnic)

Assistance dogs only.
