🌳 Walk Overview
Enjoy a varied 4-mile linear walk from Perton to Codsall, featuring peaceful woodland paths, quiet country lanes, and the charming village of Oaken. This gentle route offers a pleasant mix of well-maintained footpaths and mild undulations, making it suitable for most walkers.
The walk finishes with a relaxing stop at Codsall’s Station Pub — a popular venue located right on the train platform, known for its real ales and classic British pub food.

🚆 Transport Plan
We’re catching the 09:30 Avanti West Coast train from Coventry to Wolverhampton, then taking the bus to Perton, where the walk begins.
For the return, we’ll depart from Codsall station at 14:44 to Wolverhampton.
Please note: This leg is not covered by the senior bus pass, so a separate single train ticket is required (£3.90 / £2.55 with railcard).
From Wolverhampton, we’ll take the 15:15 CrossCountry train, changing at Birmingham New Street, and arriving back in Coventry at approximately 16:08.

🚨 Travel Info & Tickets
- Please bring any bus passes or railcards you have.
- Note: West Midlands senior bus passes do not cover the Codsall–Wolverhampton leg — you’ll need a separate single ticket for this part.
- If you don’t have any passes, consider buying a Daytripper ticket (£8.80) at Coventry Station before departure, valid on trains and buses after 9:30 am on weekdays.
