We are the Northallerton Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A pleasant and generally level walk from Piercebridge, initially heading north across fields towards the village of Summerhouse. Turning south-west, we continue towards the farm at Dyance and connect with a lane for 0.8 miles before turning south down a track to the outskirts of Gainford. We visit the village green before heading east, following a lovely stretch of the River Tees along a section of the Teesdale Way back to Piercebridge.
Considerate car-parking is available in the village prior to meeting on the village green.
There are seven straightforward styles and several gates.
Please note: Trousers are recommended as there are occasional forays into long grass etc.
After-walk refreshments will be available at Sam Turner's.
