Overview

The walk starts at Ceres Folk Museum car park next to the 17th century Bishop Bridge. The section from Ceres to Muirhead follows the old medieval pilgrimage route known as the Waterless Road, so called as it runs along a ridge where the going would be drier. The next section passes Clatto Reservoir and then crosses a hill before entering Devon Wood, then onto farmland and open countryside to Kennoway.
