Tinto is a fine, isolated hill, at 711m/2300 feet, on the edge of the Southern Uplands. It has tremendous views over the Clyde Valley and across Central Scotland and provides a relatively easy hillwalk on a good day.

The ascent and return route is straightforward on a wide track, with moderately steep sections. The hill is of course high and exposed and could have muddy sections. . .
