Walsall Group of Ramblers has been around since 1992 and in that time we've introduced many people to the joys and benefits of walking with the Ramblers
A circular walk from Pooley Country Park to Shuttington and Polesworth. The walk passes the ancient Alvecote Priory and passes through the historic town of Polesworth. The walk returns along the towpath of the Coventry Canal. Joint walk with Sandwell Ramblers and Wolverhampton Ramblers.
We leave the meeting point in Walsall promptly at 09:15 am. The start time is the time the actual walk is due to start.
Please arrive at the start at least 10 minutes before the advertised start time to allow a prompt start.
We regret we cannot allow dogs other than assistance dogs on weekend Walsall Group walks.
Walkers should check on www.sandwellramblers.org.uk that the walk has not been cancelled before leaving home.
Personal medication, e.g. asthma inhalers and angina sprays, must be carried by the walkers themselves.
All walkers should carry an ICE card or a contact number in case of emergency.
Booking is not necessary for this walk.
Walkers will need a packed lunch.

Parking £3.50 all day, payment by debit card only.
Oak Park Active Living Centre, Lichfield Road, Walsall Wood, Walsall (old entrance by KFC).
Pooley country park, Polesworth, Warwickshire. Leave Walsall by A461 towards Lichfield then A5 to Tamworth. Leave A5 at B5440 exit, take first exit at island and at next island take 3rd exit (A5000). Follow A5000 for 2.2 miles and turn L into Pooley Lane and follow major road to car park.
