Overview

To join this walk park along New Road, Nr. The Sportsman's Rest, Porchfield were the walk will start and finish. Our route will explore a deserted beach next to Burnt Wood and a little known National Trust Bird Hide overlooking Clamerkin Lake, situated east of Newtown Harbour.

Both locations have interesting single dead end trail access with a road stretch and field paths linking them together. A small circuit with two 'there and back dog legs', a total length of 6 mile with no hills. Keep your eyes open for Sea Eagles along paths that will soon be part of the new England Coast Path National Trail.

Bring a Picnic Lunch.

Option for refreshments/toilets the Sportsman's Rest at the end of the walk.
