Moderate 9.8mile/15.8km walk with some ascent/descent; about 4.5 hours walking.
Sloping fields, beech woods and hamlets, upmarket farms and upgraded cottages. Two short, steep hills (with fine views).
Route: Loosley Row, Chiltern Way to Lily Bank Farm, along Monkton Wood and College Plantation to Speen, via Denner Farm to Bryant's Bottom (lunch), New House Farm, Peterley Wood Farm, Atkins Wood, Angling Spring Wood, Gt Missenden High Street.
Lunch Stop: The Gate Inn, Bryant's Bottom.
Meet at Princes Risborough Station at 10.55.
Travel: Marylebone 10.06/Gerrards Cross 10.25 - Chilterns Railways Oxford train - arr 10.51.
Ticket/Fare: Off-Peak Return to Aylesbury £26.70/SRC17.60/SRC+FP £8.35 .
Finish: Great Missenden Station - 16.30 or 16.58 (most likely trains); otherwise 17.24/18.00.
(plenty of cafes and pubs in Missenden while waiting for train!).
