This is a meandering ramble along the footpaths and byways in and around the early industrial town of Broseley, following some of the ancient paths and tracks. Starting from Broseley we'll walk down through the Haycop Nature Reserve towards Jackfield, then climb up through woodland and visit the Broseley Jitties. We'll then wander up to and along Benthall Edge towards Wyke. We'll pass the NT Benthall Hall then work our way back to Broseley passing woodlands and open fields.
Please bring a drink, snack and a packed lunch. We'll pause for a mid-morning stop, and later for lunch stop. Non members are welcome to join us.
The walk is primarily on good foot-paths, tracks and bridle-ways. There is free car-parking at the library car park, although this can be busy so car-sharing would be appreciated. Please message if you want to car share or ask to bring a dog or need any further information.
There are cafes in the town for a coffee stop on our return.
