We are the Balerno Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This week’s walk is a circular walk, suitable for all levels of walkers. We start at the Bridge Inn at Ratho, following paths to the Lost Shore Surf Resort, ascending onto the main road and continuing with a circular walk through woods, with lovely views of the Pentland and the bridges. We will return to Ratho, where those preferring a shorter walk can break off and enjoy coffee or lunch at the Bridge Inn. The walk continues along the canal to the climbing centre, where we can use the toilets and have lunch. We return along paths and through houses to return to the Bridge Inn. Total length of walk is just over 6 miles.
