A pleasant linear walk starting at Regent Terrace and finishing at Portobello, From Regent Road we take a path through the cemetery to Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament. We head anticlockwise around the base of Arthur's Seat, on a slight incline, to reach steep steps heading down to the lovely old Duddingston village. We wander around Dr Neil's garden which gives us beautiful views over Duddingston Loch. We continue on our way to Portobello via a golf course and parks. We can complete the walk by walking along the esplanade towards Joppa for our bus home. The walk can be shortened by getting the bus back from Portobello High Street.
