Overview

This is a joint walk so please note the 11am start time.

Last time we walked up to Jack & Jill Windmills.

From the railway we initially take the same path this time leading to the top of Wolstonbury Hill. Hopefully this should provide views over the Weald  and  behind us  the coast to the south. Wolstonbury Hill, protected by the National Trust is a Bronze Age enclosure or camp.

You will be pleased to hear that the rest of the walk is downhill and mainly across farmland in and around picturesque Hurstpierpoint. We walk through the Danny Estate and passing Hautboyes another historic home on our way back.

We will stop for lunch at the recreation ground in Hurstpierpoint, where there is plenty of seating. This is close to the high street with a selection of shops & pubs and amenities if needed.
